Mt. St. Helens with Wayne and Camille
This flight was an awesome time taking Wayne, his daughter, and soon to be wife Camille over Mt. St. Helens. Wayne and Camille, owners of WineUp on Williams, and myself had arranged plans a month before to go flying. Thankfully, the weather on the day we planned out was phenomenal. I had a flight scheduled the day before, and due to the cloudy weather, we weren’t able to go, but things cleared up and Sunday was excellent.
We took off out of Troutdale with great success and made our way towards St. Helens. It was an easy and beautiful flight towards the mountain. We came around the east side and over the caldera. We circled around the west side and saw some little dots on the mountain which were people hiking up it. So cool! I’ve hiked up to the caldera four times so far and May 9th will be my 5th time. So looking forward to it!
