Looking To The Sky

Today, Laura and I got to help out my friend Brian by surprising his girlfriend Jenny with an awesome birthday gift over to the coast.

The plan was go fly into Nehalem Bay, however as we flew over the foothills, we were surprised with a low level of clouds that covered the ocean for miles. It was quite stunning, and though we had to alter our destination, we made the most of it and had a killer time enjoying a picnic at the Tillamook airport. Such a great way to spend a warm and beautiful day!

After a great lunch provided by Brian, we met a fellow pilot named Mark who also flies out of Troutdale and found out some new awesome things about Tillamook. For one, they have built a new area for pilots to hang out. Second, they allow for overnight camping next to the free tie-down area. Third, they have complimentary vehicles for people to use as long as they fill it with fuel. That’s all so awesome!!!
