Goodbye N79434
After over 4 years of co-owning N79434, the 1969 Cessna 172K purchased in Michigan and flown to Portland August of 2016, today I say goodbye. I’m getting out of the co-ownership as of today. It’s been one hell of an adventure owning and flying this bird! With 200+ hours flown over 170+ flights ranging from Michigan to Portland, Portland to Burning Man and back (3 times), and so many over the greater Portland area, the Oregon coast, through the Gorge, and around our beautiful mountains–all out of the Troutdale Airport (KTTD). As is usual, there were many ups and downs while flying and owning this airplane. Thankfully with regards to the flying, the ups equaled the downs! Owning the plane, on the other hand, I was just glad the ups outnumbered the downs.
Many lessons learned along the way these last 4 years. Most of all, if co-owning something like an airplane, be sure to have a solid operating agreement!
If you have been flying with me, please take a moment to share something to lift me up like I did you!
